It is time to REGISTER your student(s) for the biggest fundraiser of the year, the Cougar Run!
What is it? Rain or shine - students run around the field and check in with volunteer lap counters after each lap. Each grade will have 30 minutes to run as many laps as possible (check times below). The total number of laps run by individuals and by grade will be counted, and the entire school will win prizes!
How do I help my student(s) fundraise?
Fundraising is on your student’s own Givebacks Page.
NOW THROUGH FRIDAY, September 26th
Recommended fundraising goal is $100 per student.
Checks: Please seal checks in an envelope marked with “Cougar Run” and your student’s name, grade, teacher and total enclosed donation.
Safety Precautions: Remember, if going door to door, children should only go, with a trusted adult, to homes with which they are familiar and should never ask for donations alone.
Here are this year’s run times:
Families, if you are coming:
Parking will be an issue, plan accordingly and walk if you can.
The back gates will be locked. All volunteers and spectators will have to enter through the front of the school.
Please note:
Spectators cleared in Raptor will be able to attend and be outside the spectator zone. They will need to sign in at the office through Raptor.
Spectators not cleared through Raptor will need to remain in the spectator zone. We ask the spectators arrive just a few minutes before their child run time and leave promptly after the run is completed. Spectators will enjoy the event and can cheer from the designated spectator zone.
Raffle Prizes - Students earn raffle entries for prizes based on laps ran.

Fundraising Goals:
FAQs
What happens if the cougar run raises $57,000 or $64,000?
If the cougar run achieves $57,000 in fundraising that will meet our budget for the year. Based on last year's community survey results, less fundraising was an ask and we are trying to deliver. If the cougar run achieves $64,000 this would meet the goals for the 5th grade farewell party. If we do not achieve these goals then we will continue to fundraise throughout the year.
How do I volunteer to help on the day of the event?
Volunteer slots will be set up on the district site in the weeks leading up to the event. If you are not already registered as a volunteer, please sign up as soon as possible, it will take several weeks for background checks to be completed early in the school year.
