On-Going Volunteer Opportunities the PTO Supports
There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. The first step is going through the Volunteer Approval Process. Learn more about that here.
Then it’s time to decide how you want to support your student.
In the Classroom
Volunteer in the classroom to help with academics, class parties, field trips and more! The best ways to find opportunities to help is ask your student’s teacher & keep an eye out for sign up sheets through ParentSquare.
Art Literacy
This is a special program that allows for parent volunteers to teach art throughout the school. Kids come home with art projects based on certain artists. Are you an artist? Come teach a class!
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week & Stock to the Breakroom
Stock the Breakroom is just one way we support our teachers and staff. Every month a grade is assigned to bring in snacks to fill the lounge so our educators can stay sharp and focused with filled bellies! It’s one way to say thank you along with Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week every May
Bottle Drop
The BottleDrop fundraiser goes all year long. Grab a blue bag from the office or PTO member and collect plastic bottles, cans, and glass at home then return to any BottleDrop location. At some school events we will collect them. The refund value is donated directly to the school.
Lost & Found
Make sure to have all your student’s clothing, lunch box, hats, jackets, water bottles, etc. labeled! You wouldn’t believe how much stuff gets left in the lost & found. Three times a year, those items get taken, washed and donated to the Beaverton School District’s program, Clothes for Kids.
Volunteer Committees
Are you interested in helping out on a committee for Cougar Run, Spring Event, Book Fair, Bingo Night, STEAM Fair or something else? Not sure what would be a good fit? We can help! Contact the PTO!
